“Our renovation process commenced in March 2020 with Shape Building Design, we had a vision for the restoration and modernisation of our home in Ballarat Central and to create a heritage restored, modern, light filled home that our family could entertain and enjoy throughout every season in Ballarat. The design and permits took 8months to finalise and during this process we spent time sourcing recommendations for builders, Molloy Building was recommended by many people. We had an expectation of quality and when initially meeting with Mark Molloy to review the plans and requirements, he immediately understood our vision and the quality result we expected. Both Claire and I were very impressed from the start with Molloy Buildings processes, the response to our ender was detailed and professional, this gave us confidence that we were dealing with a builder who would manage the level of detail we required, the input we wanted throughout the build and quality control we expected over his contracted trades. Molloy Buildings processes were at the highest level, from his team of builders, communication, and professionalism of managing our building variations. Managing our budget and contract variations was high on our priority list as was quality and Molloy Building managed this with the utmost professionalism, after agreeing to any build variations we would receive a variation to sign within 24hours, and all credit to the company they would not engage any external trades or start work on the variations until we had signed. The Molloy Building team were very supportive during the process, from the apprentices to fully qualified builders, we felt that they were proud of what they were creating. Their communication when onsite was always of the highest level and all the team were happy to take time out of their busy schedule and escort us around site, show us the quality of what they were creating and maintain strict OHS protocols that the company had in place. During the build we had the added challenge of Covid-19 which was unprecedented and impacted all businesses, we felt that during this time Molloy Building’s experience at project management really can to the fore. This was a challenging time to manage site restrictions, government protocols and external trades and this was navigated by Mark and his team with ease, at all times we were communicated with about any changes to restrictions and build timelines and felt that our house was a priority to the entire team.
